Bluecode Africa to Incubate Winning App and Launch Another Hackathon at GOUNI
Following the successful Bluecode Hackathon at Godfrey Okoye University, Bluecode Africa has reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing innovation and building digital solutions for the future. In a message addressed to the university’s Director of Competitions, Mrs. Uchanta Chukwu, the company expressed deep appreciation for her instrumental role in coordinating the event.
Bluecode announced plans to incubate the winning project by supporting the team in developing their prototype into a fully functional payment solution for the GOUNI campus. A key part of this next phase includes partnering with the university’s Microfinance Bank to ensure regulatory compliance and seamless integration.
Additionally, Bluecode revealed its intention to organize a second hackathon this year, with a new focus on developing consumer-facing payment apps that work across various acceptance points on campus. This initiative aims to build digital infrastructure while fostering student creativity and real-world application development.
The roadmap includes a technical assessment of the prototype, development of a deployment plan, and early preparations for the next edition of the hackathon.
