GODFREY OKOYE UNIVERSITY SHINES AT THE MULTINATIONAL VANGUARD OPEN 2026 DEBATE CHAMPIONSHIP
Godfrey Okoye University has recorded another remarkable international achievement at the prestigious Vanguard Open 2026, held from 25th to 27th September 2026.
The highly competitive multi-national tournament featured over 200 elite speakers representing approximately 40 countries across the Open, English as a Second Language (ESL), and Novice categories.
Representing Team GOUNI with exceptional distinction in the ESL Category, Chinedu-Ogbonna Donald and Egbogu Favour Ogechukwu delivered stellar performances, successfully breaking into the semi-finals. Donald advanced as the 1st Breaking Speaker, while Favour Ogechukwu emerged as the 4th Breaking Speaker in the ESL track.
Demonstrating world-class argumentative rigor, the duo qualified for the grand finals, where Chinedu-Ogbonna Donald ultimately secured the national and institutional honor of First Runner-Up in the ESL Category.
